Set up and test an automation

A good automation has a clear trigger, conditions and a permitted action. Test the exception as well as the normal path.

  1. Choose one repeated task

Identify an event such as a quote follow-up or invoice reminder. Confirm that the required trigger and action are available in your plan and workspace.

  2. Define when it should not run

Review ownership, customer response and payment conditions to avoid inappropriate repeated messages. Keep sensitive actions within the required permission and approval process.

  3. Run a controlled test

Use a sample record and inspect the resulting action or provider response. Confirm the stop or pause procedure before enabling the rule for a wider set of customers.
